This web page has been created to assist you in changing your Windows 95 passwords. We recommend that you change your password every few months.

These are the passwords you should change:



Changing your Novell Password
  1. Click the Start button. Then Settings and select Control Panel



  2. Select the Passwords icon from the Control Panel folder that comes up.
  3. A Password Properties dialogue box will come up. Click the button that says Change Other Passwords



  4. In the Select Password Dialogue box that comes up, on the left, select Novell NetWare. Then click the Change button.



  5. In the Change Password dialogue box that comes up, in the top field, type in the password that you are not using. In the second field, type in the new password that you would like to use. In the last field retype your new password. This is necesary to confirm your new password. Click the OK button when finished.



  6. You have now changed your Novell password. Click the OK button to exit the Password Properties dialogue. Also, click the X in the top right hand corner of the Control Panel to close the folder.


Changing your Windows Password
  1. Click the Start button. Then Settings and select Control Panel



  2. Select the Passwords icon from the Control Pannel folder that comes up.
  3. The Password Properties dialogue box will come up. Click the button that says Change Windows Password



  4. In the Change Windows Password dialogue box that appears, make sure that Novell NetWare is NOT selected. Then click the OK button.



  5. In the Change Password dialogue box that comes up, in the top field, type in the password that you are not using. In the second field, type in the new password that you would like to use. In the last field retype your new password. This is necesary to confirm your new password. Click the OK button when finished.



  6. You have now changed your Novell password. Click the OK button to exit the Password Properties dialogue. Also, click the X in the top right hand corner of the Control Panel to close the folder.


Changing your AS400 Password
  1. First, open up the AS400 Display or Mocha Display, and login as normal. Use your regular username, and your current AS400 password.



  2. Once connected, your screen will probably look different than that of most other town users. If the screen looks as it does below then it's safe to skip to step three, otherwise, press the F9 key on your keyboard.



  3. You should now be at a command prompt. Here you are going to type chgpwd, and press the Enter (or Return) key on your keyboard.



  4. At this point you will find yourself at the screen below. Type in your current password. Next press the tab key and enter what you want your new password to be. Press Tab again, and once again type what you want your new password to be. Press Enter (or Return) and your password change should be confirmed. You can now continue to work through this AS400 display, or log out as you normally do.





Changing your GroupWise Password
  1. Open Groupwise as if you were going to check your e-mail. Select Tools and then Options from the file menu.



  2. In the Options menu, double click on the Security icon.



  3. A Security Options window will pop up. Type in your current password and press the ENTER key.



  4. Once you have hit the ENTER key you will be able to type in your new password. In the box below it retype your new password.



  5. Click the OK button at the bottom of the Security Options menu. The window will disappear and your password will be changed. Click Close on the Options menu. You may now continue using Groupwise.
