2008 Sidewalk Spot Repair Program

The contractor for the Sidewalk Spot Repair Program has begun work on the 2008 project.  This year’s work will take place in the following areas:

• Center Park
• Bigelow Street
• Alpine Street
• Russell Street
• Hemlock Street
• Edgerton Street
• Main Street (Center to Bigelow)
• Lincoln Center Handicap Entrance
• Lincoln Center Parking Lot
• Town Hall Handicap Entrance
• Weiss Center
• Spring Street (Gardiner to Glenn)
• 199 South Main Street
• 49 Comstock Road
• Nike Tykes
• 41 Cone Street
• 40 Thomas Drive
• 22 Helaine Road
• Hackmatack Street (South Main to Keeney)

Work is currently being completed on Tracy Street and Cushman Street.  It is anticipated that the remainder of the work will be completed in the order indicated above.  The contractor will provide prior notification of his intent to enter a neighborhood by placing door hangers approximately one (1) week before commencing work.

Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Weather permitting, the 2008 portion of the project is expected to be completed by late November. 

Motorists should expect lane closures and delays during construction.
