Be Counted!
The 2010 Census is coming!
Every 10 years, our Constitution requires the federal government to conduct a Census. This helps determine how our Town and our State are represented in Congress, as well as how federal funds are spent on things like schools and roads, and where businesses decide to put new stores and factories. Each year the federal government allocates $400 billion to communities based in part on Census data.
Manchester's fair share of this money depends on an accurate count of our population. You can help in this effort. Between March 13th and March 17th, your household will receive a short census form. Please take 10 minutes to answer the 10 questions and send in the form. It's that simple! For more information on the Census, please visit the Census website at www.2010census.gov
