WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT

ELBERTA AND WETHERELL

The Town of Manchester has contracted Garrity Asphalt and Allstate Asphalt to perform the final pavement restoration for certain streets associated with the above referenced project.  The restoration involves a two step process.  On or about June 1, 2009, Garrity Asphalt will mill the existing pavement on Avery Street.  The milling operation is anticipated to take 1-2 days.  Motorists will experience lane closures, delays and disruption of traffic during this phase and may want to consider an alternative route.  Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The second phase of the restoration will be performed by Allstate Asphalt.  Work is anticipated to begin on or about June 10, 2009.  Streets involved in this phase will include Avery Street, Baldwin Road, Elberta Road and MacIntosh Street. The paving operation is anticipated to take 3-5 days.  Motorists will experience lane closures, delays and disruption of traffic during this phase and may want to consider an alternative route.  Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Project information and updates are available by contacting the Manchester Public Works Department at 647-3067.
