Town Flu clinic scheduled for November 9, 2006 has been postponed
The Manchester Health Department has postponed its public flu clinic scheduled in early November due to a delay in the shipment of vaccine. Please note however that the Health Department has been assured that the full order of vaccine will be delivered, but later than in past years. Each year the flu season runs between the early fall months to early spring. The Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices recommends vaccinating as long as vaccine is available and influenza is in the community.
Patience is key this flu season. Getting vaccinated in December and January – or even later – can still be beneficial.
Please watch the local news media for the Manchester Health Department clinic schedule especially in the Journal Inquirer and the Reminder.
