The Annual Manchester Road Race will take place on Thanksgiving morning. The following is important ROAD CLOSURE information for Manchester residents, as well as people driving through Manchester on that day.

Main St. will be closed to traffic between Bissell St. and Maple St. from 5:00 am until 7:00 am  to allow the construction crews to erect the fencing and ropes along the roadway.

At 7:00 am Main St. will be closed from Center St. to Charter Oak St. until the conclusion of the race. 

At 9:30 am the entire race route will be closed to vehicular traffic.

After the tail car of the race passes, roads will be opened up behind it.

However,  Main St. will continued to stay closed from Center St. to Charter Oak St until race clean up is completed around 1:00 pm.

BUS SHUTTLES:            In an attempt to minimize the number of vehicles in the area of the race, the Road Race Committee has organized a bus shuttle operation. People can park at the Bolton Commuter lot on Rte. 6 or at Manchester Community College. Buses will transport people east on Hartford Rd to Fuss and O’Neil at 146 Hartford Rd for drop off.  The buses will leave west on Hartford Rd. Buses will drop people off at Fuss and O’Neil from 0800 to 0930. Bus pick up will take place at the same location from 1100 to 1230.
