2009 School Backpacks and Supplies Collection
We have received many calls from families in need of school supplies for the
2009 school year. This year, the Manchester Human Services Division will be
accepting donations of school supplies at the Weiss Center, 479 Main Street
between August 11 and August 21. Donations will be collected at the Human
Services Office on the 1st floor (See Liz Reynolds) or Senior, Adult & Family
Services on the Ground Floor (See Kim Sullivan).
Supplies will be distributed to families, in need, at the Weiss Center on
August 25 between 8:30am and 5:30pm and August 26 between 8:30am and
1:00pm. To be eligible, families need to be approved for reduced school
lunches for their children and contact the Human Services Department prior
to August 25. We will be collecting NEW items only for children ages 5-17.
Some suggestions include:
Backpacks
Pens
Pencils
Erasers
Colored Pencils
Crayons
Lined Paper
Spiral bound notebooks
Folders
Scissors
Rulers
If you, or your friends and family would like to donate any items, it would
greatly help Manchester families. Thanks in advance for any help that you
