2008 Sidewalk Replacement Program

The contractor for the Sidewalk Replacement Program has begun work on the 2008 project.  This year’s work will take place in the following areas:

• Cooper Street (Center to West Center)
• Cooper Hill Street (Cooper to Campfield)
• Fairfield Street (Hartford to Cooper Hill)
• West Street (Hartford to Cooper Hill)
• Huntington Street (Wadsworth to East Center)
• Benton Street (Middle Turnpike East to East Center)
• Woodland Street (Homestead to Irving)
• Sherwood Circle (Green to Green)

Work has been completed on Arch Street and is currently taking place on Cedar Street.  It is anticipated that the remainder of the work will be completed in the order indicated above.  The contractor will provide prior notification of his intent to enter a neighborhood by placing door hangers approximately one (1) week before commencing work.

Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Weather permitting, the 2008 portion of the project is expected to be completed by late November. 

Motorists should expect lane closures and delays during construction.
