Town of Manchester Provides Opportunity
for Citizens to Suggest Ways to Reduce Costs

The Town of Manchester is inviting direct public participation in the development of savings opportunities by asking citizens for their money saving suggestions. An online suggestion form has been developed for this initiative.

Over the last several years, the Town has taken numerous substantial steps to reduce the cost of government services.  Measures such as restructuring the administration of health and other employee benefits, bidding out electricity generation and keeping numerous Town positions vacant have saved the Town millions of dollars.  As the challenges to providing cost-effective services with even fewer resources grows, the Town is reaching out for reasonable suggestions to reduce costs or eliminate services.

Manchester residents with suggestions for achieving further efficiencies or eliminating unnecessary expenses are asked to submit their ideas using the Town’s online form at
