July 1, 2007 Taxes are now Due

June 25, 2007---The Manchester Town Revenue Collector’s Office reminds residents that the July 1 tax bills they will be receiving are due by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Those bills include Motor Vehicle, and the first installment for Real Estate and Personal Property. If payments aren’t received by August 1, 2007 taxes will be subject to interest charges of 1.5% per month from the July 1, 2007 due date. The minimum interest charge is $2.00.  Please note that there is no mailing for the second installment for Real Estate and Personal Property. Both payment coupons are included in the bill mailed in June. Please save your receipts for income tax purposes.

Current tax payments (not delinquent) may also be made at the Customer Service and Information Center in Town Hall or any Manchester branch of New Alliance Bank. New Alliance Bank offers convenient evening and Saturday hours. Please make sure to bring your current bill with you for proper credit.  New Alliance can accept full payments only for the July or January installments. The bank cannot accept partial payments. Both Customer Service and New Alliance will accept payments through August 1, 2007. Also, for your convenience there is a night drop box at the rear of Town Hall, 41 Center Street, near the handicap accessible door.
