Completion of

2007 Water Main Replacement Project

The contractor for the 2007 Water Main Replacement Project will be returning to complete the remainder of the work.  During the Fall 2007 construction season, water main replacement work was performed in the following areas:

1. Strickland – Hawthorne to Strong
2. Strong – Strickland to Woodland
3. Woodland – Regent to Joseph
4. Ford – Main to end

The Fall portion of the work has been completed with the exception of the loaming and seeding of the grassed areas. 

The contractor will complete the remainder of the project during the Spring/Summer 2008 construction season.  It is anticipated that construction will begin on or about April 21, 2008.  Individual notification will be sent out to those affected by the work as soon as a detailed schedule becomes available.  During the 2008 construction period, work will be performed in the following areas:

1. McKee – Center to Hartford Road
2. Ann – Center to Summer
3. High – McKee to Campfield
4. Westwood – McKee to Campfield
5. Cornell – McKee to Campfield
6. Cooper Hill – McKee to Campfield
7. Palm – Cooper Hill to Hartford Road
8. Campfield – West to Hartford Road

Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Weather permitting, the 2008 portion of the project is expected to be completed by late November. 

Motorists should expect lane closures and delays during construction.
