The Nifty Fifties Band The members of this group are Manchester natives and have been a New England favorite for over 18 years. This five-piece band play music from the golden age of rock and roll and dance hits from the 50's, 60's and beyond.
Featuring, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Abbey Road - The Complete Beatles Show
This is Abbey Roads 27th year as a Beatles tribute band, with musicians Joe LaRoche as Paul, Dave Geisler as George, Ron Cataldi as Ringo and James Copeland as John

Hungry Tiger - Burgers, chicken breast, turkey wraps; Pretty Good Dogs - Hot dogs, kielbasa sandwiches, sausage & pepper sandwiches; Great Harvest Bread - bread, cookies; Rocco's - Pizza; Under My Umbrella - chips, nachos, soda & water; The Cupcake Brake - homemade cupcakes frosted to order.
TUESDAY, June 8
Senior Dance, 6-9 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 30 Bissell St. Dance to the music of D. J. Doug Edwards, who
donated his services for this event. The dance is free, but tickets are required; they are available at the Senior Center, East Middle Turnpike, and the Customer Service area at Town Hall, 41 Center Streeet. Young people are welcome to
come and learn a few dance steps from their senior friends.
Refreshments will be available during the evening.
THURSDAY, June 10
Strollin' on Main Street
Downtown Manchester, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
Grab your sweetheart, round up your best friends and join us for an old-fashioned Thursday night stroll downtown. Travel along Main Street aboard a free horsedrawn wagonette; enjoy live music by area musicians and sidewalk displays by local not-profit organizations. Stop for a bite at a downtown restaurant; enjoy a free ice cream courtesy of Shady Glen while it lasts.
FRIDAY, June 11
The Pride in Manchester 5K At Globe Hollow, Spring Street. Open 5K begins at 6:30 p.m. The 5K race is open to competitors of all ages and abilities and this race will start and finish at Globe Hollow. Race-day parking available at Globe Hollow and Mt. Nebo. Registration will take place online through www.manchesterrunningcompany.com. Participants may register with a credit card online or may download a brochure and mail in a registration form to:

10:00 a.m to 3 p.m.
Historical/Heritage Day
at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Road. Free activities for young and old, celebrating the history of Manchester and the many ethnic groups that live in the town today.
10:00 a.m. The Salvation Army Band welcoming dignitaries and guests in front of Cheney Hall.
10:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies - Town officials and staff, introduction and welcome, posting of colors. Special ceremony to express pride in local groups. Special events to highlight the Youth of the future.
11 a.m. & 2:15 p.m. Slide show - Cheneys and their mills, by the Manchester Historical Society
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Exhibits of cultural and historic interest inside Cheney Hall - Historical Society. Booths for Past, Present, and Future.
Entertainment throughout the day on the patio in front of Cheney Hall (in case of rain, entertainment will take place downstairs in Cheney Hall.) 11 to noon: Manchester High School Jazz Band; Noon to 12:45: Little Troupe of Egypt belly dancers; 1 to 2: Malee's Studio of Tai Chi and Kung Fu; 2 to 3: Summit Studios.
11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. - Free walk on the Great Lawn, led by Susan Barlow of the Manchester Historical Society. View the town-owned nine acres facing Hartford Road. Meet at steps of Cheney Hall.
Food (Pizza and soda - $1.00 each)
Many activites inside Cheney Hall and also throughout the south end of Manchester.
10:30 a.m.- 3 p,m, Celebrate Manchester's history. FREE activities and events throughout the day at locations within the 175-acre Cheney Landmark District. Open to the public.
